Hvis man modtager en mail, som giver sig ud for at komme fra det amerikanske influenza-overvågningscenter Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) har man modtaget en spammail. Og hvis man svarer, giver man uvedkommende adgang til ens computer og til at fiske data (det som kaldes phishing).  Mailen kan endog tilsyneladende komme fra bekendte, da nogle spammere kan fiske fra ens mailbox. En forsker fik endog tilsyneladende en spammail fra sig selv.

Spammailen lyder således:

"You have received this e-mail because of the launching of State
Vaccination H1N1 Program.

You need to create your personal H1N1 (swine flu) vaccination profile
on the cdc.gov web-site. The Vaccination is not obligatory but every
person that has reached the age of 18 has to have his personal
Vaccination Profile on the cdc.gov site. This profile has to be
created both for the vaccinated people and the non-vaccinated ones.
This profile is used for the registering system of vaccinated and
non-vaccinated people. Create your personal H1N1 Vaccination Profile
using the link [deleted]."

Løsningen er ikke at åbne eller svare på uventede mail, der virker mistænkelige, og ikke at trykke på links, som virker mistænkelige, ikke at give personlige oplysninger fra sig, og opdatere antivirus, spyware og firewall og antispam software.  En forsker skriver, at han altid sender et spørgsmål tilbage til den tilsyneladende afsender om at bekræfte, at det virkelig var dem, som sendte en uventet vedhæftet fil.

 

Professionelle, danske naturfotografer og amatører har nu fået et sted at vise deres bedste naturfotografier uden at måtte give afkald på retten til at bestemme over billedets fremvisning på Internettet. I den forbindelse har man oprettet en ny forening. Internetstedet åbnede 1. december 2009.
